My Review.
This movie shows a side that before we hadn't seen, when it came out many knew him as the guy from high school musical, and I don't know about you but that did not sound like someone I would want to see on anything else. But I think he really proved himself. He was funny, and charming, and played his part well. The movie had good timing, which really helps to make a comedy not just funny, but worth while. Some movie makers have a good story line, and lose it. But I think they played it well. It is one of those movies I'll watch again, and even buy, for a day where I just want something funny.

To sum it up, It's funny, and well timed.

Listen to Your Heart

My review,
I really liked it. I really did. It won quite a few awards a different festivals. It was sad, and it was good. The acting wasn't the best I've ever seen, but the movie as a whole was wonderful. I thought Alexia Ramussen played her part beautifully, I feel like she was the perfect actor for the role, definitely someone to watch! It was written by one of the main characters in the movie, Kent Moran, I would love to have a look at that script, it was very well written. I felt like it gave you enough time, but not too much time on each point. I felt like it went through the usual drama-romance film routine early on, so it could focus on something else, some greater thing. Needless to say I cried through half the movie. I did a bit of searching, but I couldn't find any rating, but based on an average of films out now I would say it is a PG13 film, but on the lower side of that, more towards PG. It's a good watch, especially if you're looking for a good tear jerker.

To sum it up, I would certainly recommend it.

The Vow

My Review:
I enjoyed the movie, I thought Channing Tatum gave a beautiful performance, certainly my favourite of his. I love that it was based on a true story. That of Kim and Kricket Carpenter. I wish they had shown the Christian element of the life of Carpenters, to them it was very important, and they give God credit for bringing them close and keeping their marriage together. And because it was based on the true story, it has those twists that real life does. It's not like one of those predictable romantic movie, where you can, literally, see everything that's going to happen. I liked it, I thought McAdams and Tatum were a great on screen match, and I think the movie was well made. Again I say, I just really enjoyed Channing Tatum's performance. I personally also really enjoyed the end, though I think it will leave some unhappy.

To sum it up, if you like romantic movies, I think you'll like this.

Plot:
Lisa (Reese Witherspoon) is a great softball player, but is she good enough to make it in next years team? It's started becoming serious with her baseball boyfriend Matty (Owen Wilson), that is as serious as he could get. But when some one new came along, would she stay or go? After all "We are all just one small adjustment away from making our lives work."

Review:
It was okay, not the best written movie, and that was kind of sad because it has such a hilarious cast, Owen Wilson, Paul Rudd, Reese Witherspoon. So in that way I was disappointed, but it was okay. The trailers built up this really funny film, it was funny, but not really funny. Basically all the good parts were showed in the trailer. Jack Nicholson gave his usual boring performance, and Kathryn Hahn gave her usual hilarious performance. If you don't know Kathryn Hahn you should, because one day she will get a role that shows just how great she is, and you will want to know who she is. The "R" rating it was originally given was in my opinion inaccurate, not because I think it necessarily should be PG13, but because if you did a comparison to other movies that are rated R and PG13, I think it should go into the PG13 category. It had "The F Word" twice, but I mean honestly, lots of PG13 movies say much worse things.

To sum it up, it was alright.

August Rush

Plot:
A child separated from his parents at birth is on the hunt for his family, he knows they're out there, he believes that he can find them, if only he could get out of this housing, and find his way to a city. Maybe they would hear him? Maybe they would know who he was?

My Review:
It was good, I loved the music. Robin Williams roll was surprising, but interesting. Over all I enjoyed it, I would probably watch it again. It was interesting, romantic, fun. Well acted, well made. It had just enough drama, but not too much.

To sum it up, if you love music, you'll like this.

Forest Gump

Plot:
This is about a boy, who's a little different from the other kids, his name is Forrest (Tom Hanks), Forrest Gump. Forrest grows up with out many friends, he actually just had one, her name was Jenny (Robin Wright), he loved Jenny. From kindergarten, to college, to the army, to the shrimping business, many things have changed, but one thing was always the same, he always loved Jenny.

My Review:
Not only is this filled with good acting, and an interesting plot, but also it is filled with so much history. Though this movie is fictional and Forrest Gump wasn't actually involved in all the events in the movie, they are things that really happened in American history. This movie incorporates so many significant events, so well. It's a bit long, but it keeps you interested.

To sum it up, I like it allot!

Gnomeo and Juliet

Review:
This had the basic story line of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". You know two families that don't get along, because of ancient history, two young people fall in love one from each of the feuding families.. It was the same in that aspect, but this included some ally racing and a few ceramic law decorations.. all of which naturally talk. It was alright. It was pretty funny the first time I watched it, but really quite boring the second and third. There was really only two characters I liked, one a trusty sidekick and the other a strange bird. It was bright and full of energy, kids would like it for that. But I wouldn't say it's one of those movies that the whole family would enjoy... More then once.

To sum it up, eh it was alright.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

Scott (Michael Cera) Pilgrim fell in love with a girl named Ramona (Mary Winstead) Flower, and had to battle her 7 ex's in a world of wild animation.

My Review:
The funny thing about this plot is that it's kind of hard to explain, I actually liked it allot. It was really funny but you kind of felt like it was supposed to be serious sometimes. It was a unique movie in it's animation, because as time went on it became more and more like a comic book. Michael Cera was great in this, he was the perfect choice for this role. I only said a little bit about the plot but that was because, there isn't really a whole lot to say. Scott was in a failing band, met Ramona and now is battling her evil ex's. It had wacky battle sequences, it was good. I wasn't really expecting to like it, but I did. I was surprisingly clean, I'm not saying it was, because it wasn't, but I am saying for the cast and plot it was surprisingly clean. But it does deserve it's rating.

To sum it up, it was pretty funny.

Easy A

Plot;
Olive (Emma Stone) didn't want to go with her friend Rhiannon (Alyson Michalka) and her hippie parents camping so she made up the excuse of having a date. When they returned to school Monday Rhiannon quizzed her about her date, and finally came to the conclusion that she must have slept with her date, and lost her virginity, not wanting to tell her friend that really she just didn't want to go camping and none of that happened, she let her friend believe what she wanted. Marianne (Amanda Bynes)overheard and spread the rumor. Olive was then approached by her friend Brandon (Dan Byrd) who was being made fun of because he was homosexual, so he asked Olive if she would pretend to sleep with him so that people would think he was straight. So at a party they went into another room and pretended to be drunk, and leave every one to speculation. This started a whole line up of people who want to be thought of better, asking to have pretended to do different things with Olive, in return she was given gifts. She was branded with some harsh labels, so she thought she would try and live up to them, at least on the out side. She found out many things she didn't want to know, and was blamed for things she didn't do. Through all this there was one person who never believed her, not even for a minute, it was her first almost-kiss Woodchuck (Penn Badgley) Todd. After so much had happened she couldn't take it any longer, it was time for her to tell the truth, since no one else would. She opened a live web cast, and told her whole story, start to finish.

My Review;
Honestly I wasn't a fan. It had it's funny moments, but not enough to get past all the rest of the boring parts. I liked the parts with Olive and Woodchuck Todd, and how she got people to watch her web cast, but that's about it. It was to much like just another teen movie. I really was just bored, I thought the people who edited the scenes didn't do the best of job. There were so many times when a scene should have been longer or shorter, and that goes allot to how people like it, they needed to do a better job of keeping people's attention. And the song "I gotta a pocket full of sunshine..." really does get stuck in your head, I did enjoy how that singing card scene was put together.

To sum it up, I just didn't like it.

The Other Boleyn Girl

Plot:
As most already know the story I will keep this brief. This is the story of the other Boleyn girl, the sister of Mary Boleyn who married King Henry VIII. This is about a sisters betrayal, as you probably already know. This is the true story of Anne and Mary Boleyn and King Henry VIII.

My Review:
It was alright, as most historical movies there are inconsistencies with what actually happened, but they are basically true. I was fond of the costumes, quality of cinematography, though I wasn't very happy with how the story was written for the film. I thought Natalie Portman and Eric Bana were cast well, though I thought that Scarlet Johansson wasn't the best choice for Mary Boleyn. As I said it was alright, but not great. Certainly not in top movie list.

To sum it up, it was okay.

Charlie St.Cloud

Plot;
Charlie (Zac Efron) St.Cloud is a sailboat racer, along with his little brother Sam (Charlie Tahan). Charlie got a sailing scholarship to a very prestigious school, but before he left he promised Sam that they would practice baseball every day at the cannon sound, in the Forest near their house. He had bold plans for the future, but everything is stopped when Charlie and his little brother get into an car accident, that killed Sam. Charlie quit sailing, put his boat away and never took it out. He lived near the Forrest along the beach, and worked at the cemetery. It had been a few years and Charlie still went out every night and played baseball with his brother, until he saw a girl he had once sailed against, she was now preparing to sail in a very long competition, her and Charlie fell in love. They had wonderful times together, until Tess (Amanda Crew) Carroll was reported missing, and Charlie found that he had been in love with a ghost, he just didn't know. But somehow, though every one thought Tess had died he knew she wasn't he knew where she was headed, he took off sailing after her, he missed a game with his brother, but it was time, his brother knew that. once Charlie found the ship he jumped in after her, he finally found her body washed up on some rocks, he lied next to her he held her to try and keep her from dying, search crews found them at the edge of their life's, but they were saved. After they got out of the hospital, Charlie and Tess talked, Tess said she had dreamed of Charlie, they did things together and she was scared of him because the dreams were so vivid, like it all really happened. Charlie told her it wasn't a dream he proved it to her. She asked Charlie if he would go with her, if he would sail on her race with her, he said yes.

My Review;
So, I loved this movie. It was filled with beautiful scenery, and wonderful shots. I think Zac Efron really showed a set of skills we haven't seen before. It made my "Ultimate Movie List", it was great. And it was honestly pretty clean, it had a few sexual references, a little bit of language. It had some really intense parts, I wouldn't recommend for people who have trouble with death, near death, and strong emotion. Some of the moments were really unexpected and I loved them. You could call it a 'tear jerker', but it was great.

To sum it up, go watch it.

The Last Song

Plot;
Veronica 'Ronnie' (Miley Cyrus) Miller and her little brother Jonah (Bobby Coleman) go to visit their father Steve (Greg Kinnear), for the summer, who lives on the coast of Georgia. Ronnie soon meets a boy named Will (Liam Hemsworth) Blakelee, they fall in love. But things go bad when they find out not only is Ronnie's dad sick, and will soon pass, but also the church that, it was though, Steve accidentally burnt down wasn't actually his fault, and Will knew who's fault it was. Though the issue of the burn church was figured out, Ronnie was too upset that Will didn't say who it was until so long later, she didn't even want to forgive him. Though he knew she was mad at him, he when to her fathers funeral. Ronnie played a song for her dad at the funeral, she hadn't played the piano, but once, since her parents were divorced. After the funeral she went back to her father's house and was packing up his things when she saw Will waiting on the beach, she walked out to see him. She wasn't expecting this she had assumed he had already gone away to college, she was wrong he loved her so much, he had to see her again. He said he was thinking about transferring to another school he was accepted to in New York, down the road to where she would be going, Julliard, Ronnie was so excited.

My Review;
Okay so in case you hadn't guessed by the commercials this was a typical love story. Two young people fall in love, there's a beach, someone dies, there's a fight. But though it wasn't anything great and new, I liked it, it was entertaining. It was worth the rental cost. It had some emotion I didn't think Miley Cyrus was capable of, I thought her performance was good. Through out most of the movie it kind of seemed that they called it the last song because it was the thing that came to their head, but you figure it out. I thought it was good, it can be somewhat of a tearjerker movie, but not to much.

To sum it up, it was good.

Killers

Plot;
Spencer (Ashton Kutcher) Aimes is an assassin, Spencer Aimes WAS an an assassin. In beautiful Nice France, a recently-broken-up Jen (Katherine Heigl) Kornfeldt met the man she would soon marry, Spencer. It was love at first sight, that day was Spencer's last day on the job. They were married, lived normal life's, but this would only last so long. After three years Spencer's past caught up with him. Every one turned against them, every where, all their friends where trying to kill them. Through a series of wild events, Jen finds out her father MR.(Tom Selleck) Kornfeldt is some secret agent and was the one trying to kill her husband, because he thought that he was trying to kill him and that her husband was an assassin. With a stand off between Spencer and Mr.Kornfeldt, Jen gets fed up, and has a little sit down with her Mom Mrs. (Catherine O'Hara) Kornfeldt, Dad, and Husband about no secrets, and no trying to kill each other.

My review;
It was pretty average action wise, there wasn't a whole lot of blood, it didn't really show many "dead" people but it was implied that they had been killed. It was an okay movie, I'd recommend renting it, there wasn't a whole lot of nudity or language. Being a 4-H kid I did love that Spencer (Kutcher) said that he learned to shoot in 4-H. I didn't think it was anything new or fantastic, but I did enjoy to watch it, it was funny. I will add that it did have a few unexpected twists, that were good.

To sum it up, watch it, it's fun.

Sixteen Candles

Plot;
Samantha (Molly Ringwald) is having an awful day, on top of all the craziness of her older sister getting married, her whole family forgot her birthday! Her day continues to be terrible until she is noticed by her crush Jake (Michael Schoeffling) Ryan. After missing each other so many times, they finally meet, and they fall in love.

My Review;
It was honestly not that great, yes I loved some of the things that come from any eighties movie, the filming, the clothing, but this movie doesn't deserve to be in the classic eighties movie category. The plot was silly, it was really choppy, even for a movie of that time. And for parents who are like "oh, I want to give my kids some pop culture from my time", I wouldn't recommend this, particularly because of the language and sexual content. So much in fact, that the PG rating was disputed as to weather it should be R (There was no PG13 at the time). I wish I could say I liked it more, but I can't because I didn't, it wasn't that great.

To sum it up, I wouldn't really recommend it.

Footloose

I'm going to start by giving you some film stats, about the plot, then go into my review. *WARNING - THIS MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS*

Plot;
Ren (Kevin Bacon) McCormack moves to a small town, from the big city and is finding he's not exactly welcomed with open arms. He also soon found that music and dancing was against the law, though many teens including the daughter of one of the biggest supporters of this law, Ariel (Lori Singer) Moore, wish that they could just dance. Along with trying to work out life being new in town, and find himself in some trouble, Ren decides something has to be done about this law. After some reluctance he got the support of some other kids and they petitioned the town council to let them have a dance. After the proposal was turned down they felt like there was nothing they could do, until some one told them that technically over the train tracks was out of town jurisdiction, so they got permission to use a barn right across the tracks. Ren asked Ariel's dad if he could take her to the dance, and to somewhat of a surprise he said yes, because he kept an open mind and had a little change of heart. So they had their dance.

My Review;
I love it. Not only do I think it had a good story, but it was really one of a kind in 1984. It was one of the first big "Modern Musicals", the actors weren't singing, but every song that played in the back ground was chosen not only for the beat, but also for the lyrics, every song was chosen specifically for every scene and some even written special for that scene of the movie. Footloose also was about something that really happened, though the story was fictional, it was true that there were towns where rock music and dancing were against the law in city limits. I see how people could say that dancing can lead to some immoral acts, I suppose, but I do not believe that is the governments right to control dancing or music. I also thought a cool thing about the movie was that it started as a movie, it wasn't a book or a play, it was first a movie. There is quite a bit of language, and some sexual references, but no nudity.

To sum it up, if you get the chance, watch it.

Saturday Night Fever

Plot;
Tony (John Travolta) Manero dances the nights away in local the disco, a way to finally feel like he's doing something. Tony is always out because he has some issues with his family, his brother who his parents think is perfect until he decides to quit being a priest, his father who's been out of work and is aggravated about it, and his stressed mother. One day at a disco Tony sees a woman, Stephanie (Karen Lynn Gorney), who catches his eye as an amazing dancer. He asks her to join him in a dance competition. They won first, but Tony knew it was rigged. He gave up the winnings because he knew it wasn't fair. After the competition Tony and his friends when out to the bridge, Bobby (Barry Miller) was hanging from some of the cables, and walking on dangerous places, Tony tried to get him to come down, but before he could get Bobby to come down Bobby fell to his death. After that Tony left all his friends that weren't nice, then he went to Manhattan to find Stephanie, and he said he was never going back to Brooklyn, and they agreed to be friends, just friends.

My Review;
If you like 70's music, is I must admit I do, you would probably like to buy the sound track. The dancing was Napoleon dynamite status, maybe a little more sophisticated, but not a whole lot. The rating was surely true. It had quite a bit of language, you could even say allot. I thought the story was kind of lame, the characters were quite boring. It just wasn't interesting. I wouldn't recommend it, honestly not at all. I seriously think that the language truly takes away from the content, it's lite the writers weren't smart enough to get a thesaurus and find some more intelegent word. I mean honestly they souknded pretty rediculous.

To sum it up, don't get it, it's awful.

Bonnie and Clyde

Released; 13TH of August, 1967.
Genre; Biography, Crime, Drama, Romance, Thriller.

Plot;
As Clyde (Beatty) Barrow was checking out a car before he was going to steal it, he was caught by a young beautiful woman, Bonnie (Dunaway) Parker. Just as fast as they met, they started stealing. They were always on the run, but they were so in love. The duo picked up another man along the way at a small town gas station, C.W. (Michael J. Pollard) Moss, he was just a kid, bu he was a great driver. Not to long after becoming a trio they added two more to their robbing team Clyde's brother Buck (Gene Hackman) Barrow, and his wife Blanche (Estelle Parsons). It seemed that just as the team would settle down for a nice Holiday, the police would find them, and every time they police got closer and closer to catching them, but they were always a step ahead. Always until, there was a great shootout, that is. It wounded It wounded Bonnie, Clyde and Blanch, also taking Blanche captive, and it killed Buck. Bonnie, Clyde, and C.W just barely escaped. They headed to C.W's house because that was the only place that they didn't think the police would find them, because no one had found out the identity of C.W yet. The thing the didn't take into account was that the police had already captured Blanche, and she gave away every thing. The police set up a trap, with the help of C.W.'s father, who wasn't into the idea of bank robbers living in his house. One day he convinced his son to stay in town when Bonnie and Clyde came home, he ignorantly did so. On the way home Bonnie and Clyde stopped to help C.W.'s dad fix a flat tire, when they were gunned down.

My Review;
Great Movie. Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway were beautiful together. Though the MPAA gave this an 'R' rating, and I would give it at MOST PG13. There is some suggestive conversation and some nudity, and the 'Violence' is more intense or dramatic then blood and guts, after all it's 1967. I believe it truly gives you a feel for how Bonnie and Clyde were. I love the cinematography, it's just a beautiful movie. When watching it you almost don't want them to get caught, you want them to live happily ever after, but you know they wont. Because every one knows the story of Bonnie and Clyde, how they got ambushed and shot to death, just like Sonny Corleone. This honestly is one of my all time favourites.

To sum it up, it's a beautiful crime not to watch this, go rent it.

Tombstone

Genre; Action, Drama, History, Romance, Western.

Plot;
This is the story of how Wyatt (Russell) Earp, along with his brothers and friend Doc (Kilmer) Holliday take Tombstone from the grasps of it's tormentors "The Cowboys". Earp moved to Tombstone in hopes of finding peace and retirement from his law-man/ gun slinger days. Little did he know, just how big his reputation was, no matter where he went every one knew him. With no one else to take charge Wyatt, his brothers, and his friends fought the history making battle of Tombstone.

My Review;
I must say this is Val Kilmer at his best, he was a great choice to play Doc Holliday. Like most Historically based movies, you have to leave some room for inaccuracies, but there were a few too many for my taste - as a lover of History. But it did have good action, interesting plot, and it's funny moments. To me it seemed like it was 200 minuets, though in reality it was only 130. To me it wasn't the greatest, I was bored watching it. Though I did like the scenes with Holliday, I think he was truly given some of the best lines. To me it seemed like any other modern western with a famous name. I think they rely to much on "Tombstone" and "The OK-Corral". I think if the inaccuracies don't bother you to much, it's an alright movie. Not my favourite, but alright.

To sum it up, it's okay, if you like westerns - watch it.

I'm going to start by giving you some film stats, about the plot, then go into my review. *WARNING - THIS MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS*

Plot;
The year 2000, no one knew just what was ahead. Tyler (Pattinson) Hawkins is 21, though he has his shares of family troubles, be doesn't let his parents divorce or his brothers death stop him from living. He's alive and living, but he's not really sure what he's living for, until his friend Aidan (Tate Ellington)convinces him to talk to this girl at school, Ally (de Ravin), who he soon falls in love with. But he is still dealing with his family issues, and hers too! Their journey is one of trials, but they always find a way through it, because they have each other. And some how they find a way to pull their families together. Every thing was great, at last Tyler's younger sister Caroline (Ruby Jerins), was feeling like her dad truly loved her and cared about her. One day as Tyler went to meet his dad at his office, something hit. It was a plane, it was the 11Th of September, 2001. Tyler was in his dad's office, in the worlds trade centre. Tyler didn't survive. But all the great he did for Ally's family and his own continued on.

My Review;
This movie is not only number one on my "Tear Jerker List", but it's also on my ultimate movie list. What a movie, so moving. Robbert Pattinson was phenomenal, he and Emilie de Ravin had great chemistry, and Tate Ellington added a great bit of comedy. Every emotion was so raw, so real. It is truly, in my opinion, one of the best movies I've ever watched. It was so unpredictable, it seemed like it was just going to be another Romantic Drama, but so many things I did not expect happened. The end really pulled you in, I being old enough to remember 9/11 it was especially griping, because I remember that great sorrow that covered our country, and other countries after that awful event. I'd say the movie was a sad one, but though so many tragic things happened, so many great things came from them. I will tell you before you go out and rent it, thinking oh a just a good to cry at film. I would only recommend this to those I believe could really handle the darkness, and sadness of this film. Remember it's rated PG13 for a reason.

To sum it up, if you can handle it, watch it.
